Waimārama Beach safety

Beach users in Waimārama have reported serious safety concerns related to vehicle use on the beach, particularly drivers speeding, ignoring the summer no-vehicle ban along the busiest section of the beach, driving over the sand dunes, and driving dangerously in a way that puts other beach users at risk. With the community and beach users, we are exploring potential ways to address these issues and need your input!

Should the rules for vehicles on Waimārama Beach changed? We want your ideas, so tell us below what you think!

Closes 5pm, Sunday 22 December 2023.
