Council has been developing plans to replace the existing playground at Ebbett Park. The upgrade to the playground was identified as one of the top priorities in the Raureka Parks Reserve Management Plan. We’ve collated the ideas and thoughts shared by the local community, park users and students from Ebbett Park School to help create a fun playful space for everyone to enjoy. Hastings District Council (as a consenting authority) has received an application from Hastings District Council’s Capital Projects team (as the applicant) to construct and operate a water treatment plant and water reservoir in Frimley Park, Hastings. In accordance with Section 95A of the Resource Management Act, HDC as the applicant has requested that the application be publicly notified

As Hastings grows and faces future pressure, it is timely to look at the type of community we want to create, particularly on the north-eastern side of Hastings. To help us address the challenges and opportunities ahead we have started to work on a long-term blueprint to guide future land use – called the Karamū Master Plan. We welcome your assistance in identifying opportunities and issues that may impact the long-term development of the Master Plan. To date we have received some very worthwhile feedback and want to hear more, so we have extended the timeline to March 31.
