Consultation on Plan Change 5: Right Homes, Right Place (Medium Density Plan Change) re-opened on 15 July 2023 after it was found that information was missing from some documents attached to the previous consultation held in October/November 2022.
Members of the public were again able to make submissions to the plan change. Residents who had already made a submission could keep their submission as it was or review the missing information and re-submit. Submissions closed on 11 August 2023.
The summary of re-opened submissions is now available for further submission.
You do not need to have made an original submission to make a further submission, but it does need to be relevant and made by persons who are representing a relevant aspect of the public interest (such as a group representing the elderly or tenants); or persons who have an interest in the plan change that is greater than the interest the general public has (for example, a property owner within the affected residential areas); or by the local authority that has promulgated the plan change. A further submission can either support or oppose another person’s submission. However, you can’t raise new issues. It provides an opportunity to assess the effect an original submission may have on you, and have your views considered.
The further submission must be in the prescribed Form 6 format and state whether or not you wish to be heard. Alternatively, you can complete the online form below.
Completed further submissions can be:
Posted to: Plan Change 5, Environmental Policy Manager,
Hastings District Council, Private Bag 9002,
Hastings 4156
Delivered to: Council’s Civic Administration building, Lyndon Road East, Hastings
Emailed to: policyteam@hdc.govt.nz
Those making a further submission need to send a copy of their submission to the person whose submission you are supporting or opposing. This needs to be done within five working days of lodging the submission with the Council.
The closing date for further submissions is 5pm Friday 22 September 2023.
