Hastings District Council is giving notice of the Draft Local Alcohol Policy (LAP), in accordance with Section 83 of the Local Government Act 2002.
The Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 enables councils to develop a Local Alcohol Policy and requires the review of the LAP every six years following its adoption.
The Draft Hastings District LAP includes the following licensing provisions:
The Council invites submissions below from any individuals, groups, businesses, or organisations wishing to comment on the draft LAP.
Submissions will be accepted from 14 March 2025 to 14 April 2025. A public hearing will follow for those who wish to present their submission in person (16 and 17 April 2025). All submissions will be reviewed and considered in the development of a preferred position paper, which will help inform the final LAP.
