Draft Cape Coast Reserves Management Plan

Hastings District Council’s draft management plan for the ten Cape Coast Reserves is open for submissions pursuant to section 41(5) of the Reserves Act 1977.

You are invited to provide feedback on the management priorities for the following reserves:
•    Mill Road Reserves;
•    Gow Avenue Esplanade Reserve;
•    Cavell Park; 
•    Haumoana Hall;
•    Haumoana Memorial Park;
•    Haumoana Domain; 
•    Te Awanga Domain;
•    Oregon Road Reserve;
•    Charlton Road Esplanade Reserve; and
•    Clifton Domain (Camps 1&2).

The ten reserves (65.9 hectares) are being planned together as they are all in the “Cape Coast” geographical area (east of the Tukituki River), and all serve the communities of Haumoana and Te Awanga.
In line with the Act, copies of the plan are available for inspection at:
•    Ground Floor, Hastings District Council Building, Lyndon Road, Hastings; 
•    Hastings Public Library; or
•    Havelock North Public Library.
